As the creative needs have grown at DKY, Preston Stevens has come on board in the role of art director to help lead the creative design process and elevate the Winnebago brand and dealer demo programs for American Honda. Stevens brings more than a decade of experience partnering with brands to tell their unique stories through a creative process rooted in strategy.

In addition to adding creative talent, DKY has welcomed Shannon Mell as a project manager. With nearly 20 years of marketing experience, honed organizational skills and a passion for relationship-building, Mell will help keep client projects running smoothly from discovery to completion.

Preston Stevens Brings Creative Brand Experience to DKY

“Preston’s experience and design skills immediately stood out as a good fit for DKY,” said Mike Dobies, executive creative director and partner at DKY. “He’s hit the gas for our Outdoor clients and has been instrumental in concepting and executing creative content for a recent dealer event, and directed a photo shoot in South Carolina.”

Steeped in agency experience, Stevens has a passion for storytelling and building brands through creative engagement. The work he creates is authentic and is executed with craftsmanship. Most recently, Stevens worked as an art director and designer for Crash+Sues, a Minneapolis-based creative studio.

Other agencies that he’s provided art direction for include Martin Williams, Wunderman Thompson, Eleven and SixSpeed. In recent years, Stevens has led creative projects for several recognizable brands, including Supercuts, Syngenta, General Mills, Red Bull, Polaris, Crestliner, as well as freelance clients.

Now at DKY, Stevens appreciates the agency’s focus on core values and genuine approach to serving clients.

Shannon Mell Adds Organizational Punch to Project Management Team

“Our workload has grown across the agency and to ensure we continue to deliver on our high standard of client service and support, we knew the time was right to add another project manager to our team,” said Tracy McCrory, vice president of project management at DKY. “Bringing Shannon on board was a vital step to maintain an integrated and consistent workflow across the business and she’s already greatly contributing to this effort.”

Leveraging years of marketing experience, Mell excels at working with teams to complete client deliverables. She comes to DKY after three years in corporate marketing for women’s retailer, Maurices. As an omni media marketing planner, Mell managed multiple digital projects as the liaison between channel partners, planners, merchants and the creative team.

Prior to her employment with Maurices, Mell served as a business development manager for Learning Strategies Corporation, a publisher of self-improvement, education and health programs. While in the position for more than a decade, Mell managed a content management tool for the company’s website, oversaw email service platforms and fostered partner relationships.

For many years, she also was the administrator of the Transformational Leadership Council, LSC’s nonprofit membership organization. Mell was responsible for maintaining active membership and executing a smooth registration process for the Council’s global, bi-annual member meetings.

Meeting the DKY team influenced her to make the move, and she’s eager to serve DKY clients.
