Tim McKim, Group Account Director, Agriculture
For more than a decade, McKim owned a full-service content marketing agency and previously worked for agencies Colle McVoy and Weber Shandwick. He also started his career at the Kansas City Board of Trade and recently launched Idea Outpost, a strategic consultancy that provides brand consulting, writing, and marketing services. McKim brings valuable agriculture sector experience to DKY and its clients.
“As a long-time collaborator, proven marketer, and friend of DKY, I’m thrilled Tim is helping us develop our agriculture practice,” said Brian Dahl, president, and partner for DKY. In this newly created role, McKim brings practical, strategic thinking to our ag clients and team.”
McKim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and minored in Chemistry and Biology from South Dakota State University (SDSU). Over the years, McKim has served on multiple boards, most notably for the Red Wing Public Schools Foundation and the Red Wing YMCA.
Upon his start, McKim noted: “DKY is a place where I can continue to learn and grow in my career, even after 35 years in the business. The people are incredibly smart and collaborative, and the clients are diverse and make a real difference in our world.”
Annie Kelby, Creative Content Manager
Kelby joins DKY as a creative content manager after four years as a news producer at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. While there, she collaborated with a team of anchors, reporters, and photographers to produce weeknight and evening newscasts. In 2020, Kelby and her team earned an Emmy Award for producing stories that made an impact on viewers.
Now at DKY for the second time (previously as an intern), Kelby has quickly jumped into creative content development for long-time client Winnebago. Leveraging her production background, Kelby develops video scripts, provides on-site production support, and manages the editing process for new product videos.
“Annie’s broadcast journalism background set her apart and she’s helping us develop rich, vibrant RV marketing content,” said Joe Peterson, partner, and vice president at DKY.
After graduating from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul as a Journalism major, Kelby worked in several TV production roles in other cities before coming back to Minneapolis.
Reflecting on what drew her to DKY, Kelby said: “After working in broadcast news during the pandemic, the local and national unrest, and the last election, I was ready for something new and DKY has an awesome work culture.”
Angel Rowell, Project Manager
Rowell comes to DKY with experience in project management, photography, film production, and content creation. As a former project manager for Windmill Design, she worked with internal teams to build websites, launch businesses, and initiate marketing campaigns.
She’s also worked for Chaffee County Visitors Bureau and is the co-owner of Discovery Pass, a website that offers tourist resources for visitors to Colorado.
At DKY, she is responsible for working with multiple account teams to keep projects advancing on time and on budget.
“Angel has been a great addition to our project management team. She is organized, collaborative, and she brings a positive attitude and high energy to our work. She’s winning over our clients too,” said Tracy McCrory, a senior project manager at DKY.
When asked why she chose DKY, Rowell said: “The majority of DKY employees have been here for years. That was a clear indication that people are happy, and it speaks volumes about the excellent leadership and business practices at DKY.”
TJ Rempfer, Project Coordinator
In May 2021, Rempfer started at DKY after graduating from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, with a double major. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Marketing and a Master of Science in Business Administration – Management.
For work experience, Rempfer has interned for Lakes Sotheby’s International Realty and assisted office staff and real estate agents with daily tasks and database management. While in college, he volunteered in sales and marketing for the major sports brand, Easton. He worked at the Minnesota Hockey Expo and traveled to baseball clinics to showcase and demonstrate different products to prospective customers.
In 2021, he made his way to DKY. “TJ started as a summer intern and we’re pleased he’s moved into a project coordinator role,” said Peterson. “He quickly immersed himself in the business and he’s now supporting multiple, fast-paced marketing projects for our Winnebago account team.”
Rempfer noted: “During the spring and summer, I learned a lot through observing and listening, and found myself enjoying coming to work at DKY. Plus, the people are great.”
