When Wings Insurance approached DKY in 2025, they were preparing to celebrate a major milestone: 40 years of helping private and commercial aircraft owners navigate the complexities of aviation insurance. But their leadership team knew the brand didn’t fully reflect the company’s future so they asked us to help them take flight.
Built by Aviation People, for Aviation People
Wings Insurance is a niche leader having grown from a regional aviation insurance specialist to one that delivers global insurance solutions through its worldwide network . They work with aircraft owners, operators, and aviation professionals to deliver modern, customer-focused insurance solutions. Their edge? A passionate, aviation-first culture backed by technology, service, and deep industry expertise.
Despite their success, Wings Insurance had an identity challenge. Their logo was dated, their visual system didn’t match the professionalism or innovation of their team, and their website needed improvement. It was time for a brand refresh.
Designing the Future of a Legacy Brand
We kicked off the engagement with a creative brief that helped clarify their vision: modern, bold, and built for growth. Our design team developed a new logo and identity system that captures the heart of the Wings story: clean, confident, and unmistakably aviation-inspired.

“This mark, while simple at first glance, has a few layers of symbolism,” explains Preston Stevens, DKY Art Director. “The arrow in front implies forward progress, while also serving as an abstracted cockpit, with the arc shape behind becoming the wings. The arrow is also an abstracted aircraft itself, with the arc implying a sonic boom, breaking the sound barrier, which symbolizes speed and technology.”
The new logo is sleek. It’s forward-looking. And it positions Wings Insurance as a top-tier provider in an industry that demands trust.
From Identity to Activation

Following the brand reveal, DKY helped bring the new system to life across several key touchpoints.
First up: redesigning system documents that support the quote-request process which is a crucial customer experience moment. These documents were given a cleaner, more user-friendly format with the new design standards in place.
Next, we tackled the website refresh, working within their existing CMS to reflect the bold new brand identity. DKY provided updated page design templates and navigation recommendations, and the Wings internal web team took it from there implementing the site changes.
All Eyes on Oshkosh

The capstone moment came in July, when Wings Insurance debuted their new logo and website to the public at AirVenture 2025 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, one of the aviation industry’s most iconic annual gatherings.
To support their physical presence at the event, DKY consulted on the overall space design and layout, and designed branded wind feathers that brought motion and visibility to the Wings Insurance tent. The Wings team took it further by designing their display space using the new brand system, wearing newly branded shirts, and handing out promotional items that drew attendees in and sparked conversations.
Ready for Takeoff
We’re proud to support the Wings Insurance team on this journey and even more excited to see how they continue to serve customers with passion, precision, and now, a modern brand built to soar.
