DKY is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to build and lead our Social Media service offering and manage the agency’s Social presence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-starter with the vision to capitalize on opportunities to grow both client and DKY Social engagements. DKY team members are expected to serve clients and one another with integrity, compassion, and authenticity.

This new role will integrate Social Media into larger communication plans, working seamlessly with DKY’s Account Supervisors, VP of Digital, Director of Digital Marketing, and Director of PR and Content. (See qualifications.)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and Strategize:

  • Assess Social Media opportunities, select/manage platforms, and develop Social strategies that support overall marketing and communication goals for clients and the agency
  • Develop strategic plans for increasing awareness and engagement, and nurturing leads across all targeted channels
  • Serve and support client Social teams with excellence, tailored to client needs
  • Develop efficient workflow policies and processes with the client and agency colleagues

Content Plan, Produce, Engage:

  • Collaborate with Director of Content & PR to develop master content calendars
  • Plan and post timely, high-quality content, including graphics, video, live streams, chats, and other engaging, interactive formats
  • Work independently when needed for timely posts, observing agency standards/processes
  • Plan, schedule, and publish timely content that attracts engagement, traffic, and leads
  • Work with DKY Account teams to oversee Social campaigns through production and approvals
  • Create and maintain a clear brand personality for the client in online communities
  • Incorporate SEO content into writing assignments

Monitor, Measure, Reports:

  • Listen, engage, answer questions, build loyalty, take the pulse of client Social communities
  • Research opportunities and manage Social Listening campaigns
  • Monitor competitive Social presence and activities
  • Identify, measure and grow key metrics via performance analytics
  • Report business value of Social in driving lead and conversions using Sprout Social in coordination with DKY’s Director of Digital Marketing

Content Assistance:

  • Assist the Director of Content and PR in writing and producing timely content required to fulfill plans

Media Relations:

  • Ability to assist with media pitching and news placement is a bonus

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field and 5+ years of related experience in Social Media management. Track record of successful paid and organic campaigns, community management, and Social Media strategy development. Strong writing and content development skills are required in multiple formats, including live events, video, podcasting, blogging, and others. Must be strategic, organized, responsible and cultivate excellent relationships with clients and colleagues.
